  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Special Metric Fields

This topic lists special fields that are available to use in metrics and filters.

Field Description
Is Out Of Sequence Returns a true value for any activity that is out of sequence.
Is DCMA Out of Sequence Returns a true value for any activity that is out of sequence. See the DCMA DECM 06A212a specification for more information.
Maximum FF Lag Max Lag of all Predecessors where link type is Finish To Finish (FF).
Number of Discrete Successors Looks at activity successor earned value technique and counts how many are not LOE.
Maximum FS Lag Max Lag of all Predecessors where link type is Finish To Start (FS).
Maximum SF Lag Max Lag of all Predecessors where link type is Start To Finish (SF).
Maximum SS Lag Max Lag of all Predecessors where link type is Start To Start (SS).
Number of External Predecessors Returns the count of Predecessors that are from external projects.
Number of External Successors Returns the count of Successors that are from external projects.
Number of FF Predecessor Lags Returns the count of Predecessors that are Finish to Finish (FF) and have a Lag >0.
Number of FS Predecessor Lags Returns the count of Predecessors that are Finish to Start (FS) and have a Lag >0.
Number of SF Predecessor Lags Returns the count of Predecessors that are Start to Finish (SF) and have a Lag >0.
Number of SS Predecessor Lags Returns the count of Predecessors that are Start to Start (SS) and have a Lag >0.
Number of Successor Lags Returns the count of Successors relationships with Lags.
Number of Successor Leads Returns the count of Successors relationships with Leads which are negative Lags.
Project Critical Path Test If the project critical path test passes, all activities will return True for this value.
Project Minimum Total Float This field represents the smallest value of the total float across all internal activities.
Project Remaining Duration Returns the Project Remaining Duration in work days using the project default calendar. You can view this field as work days or hours depending on the Display Setting.

Touchstone reads external relationships and external activities. This makes the count of relationships more accurate for metrics. External activities from P6 XER schedule or MPP schedules are now part of the list of activities used in calculating a score for an uploaded schedule unless metrics exclude external activities. External activities, however, are excluded from the random selection of activities used in determining the Project Critical Path Test and Logic Sensitivity.
